Ramadan: marriage help………..?
no, my marriage isn’t in trouble, but i just need a little help with something. what’s something fun, spontaneous and romantic i can do with my wife to show her i love her and just to have a little fun. i mean, she knows i love her, and all, we’ve been married for about a year now, and we’re not having trouble or anything. but i was just thinking, what’s something FUN (and halal of course) we could do that’s not all intimate but not something that you’d do with just anybody. something fun, because we’re both in our early twenties and we like to play. but i don’t want to do anything big because i’m saving that for our anniversary, but that’s a month away, and i want something fun to do with her sometime this week. something that doesn’t take too much planning though, because it’ll be hard to surprise her with then. i just need help thinking of a fun little activity for us to do, and i asked here because you guys will understand what i mean by HALAL unlike some other categories. i must say, those people in some other categories are really perverted and disgusting. but can anyone help me out here? preferably sisters, because well, obviously my wife is a sister, so……….
these are all fantastic ideas, great answers (except that micky guy)! thank you all. my two favorites so far are Muhammad’s and Abdul-Latif’s. if i don’t get anymore i’ll probably use Muhammad’s for this week and one of Abdul-Latif’s for our anniversary.
i think i may need to ask another question to help me decide lol
okay, let me think. when you get up to go to work, if she’s still asleep, make a bunch of sticky notes with "i love you" and other things on them leave them around the house where you know she’ll find them (but not out in plain sight cause then it’s no fun) and on the first say to collect them all. on every one of them, put a clue on the backside to help her find the next one. sorta like a scavenger hunt thing. then, on the very last one, put something like to get dressed up or whatever and be ready to leave at a certain time because you’re taking her somewhere special. leave next to it a rose or some candy (not chocolate cause that will melt unless you put it somewhere cold). then when you come home at night, say your salams, hug her kiss her blah blah blah, take her out, maybe to picnic somewhere under the stars on a nice big grass hill where you can get a nice view of the city and also the stars above. tell her there’s one more note somewhere nearby (on a tree or something). put whatever romantic/sweet/cute thing you can think of on it and put a little gift with it (not necessarily jewelry but that might be best) and when she finds it, she reads the note, sees the gift (maybe a neckalce, braclet, locket with a picture of you tow in it) her heart melts, you tell her again how much you love her and how you’re so happy that Allah Blessed you with her as your wife, and yeah, that’s it i guess. the rest is up to you.
btw, of coures it’s up to YOU to put the picnic together, and make it something good, whatever her favorite is, but nothing that will leave either of you with bad breath, that’ll kill it.
and don’t forget dessert lol…maybe go out for ice cream

Preparing To Be A Help Meet – Conversations
http://www.debipearl.com, http://www.nogreaterjoy.org
Being a good help meet starts long before marriage. It is a mindset, a learned habit, a way of life established as a young unmarried girl—or at least thats the way it should be.
Nearly every wife will confess that the first year or two of married life washow shall I say ita frustrating learning experience. Most girls spend plenty of time planning for their wedding, but make no preparation for the weeks and years to follow. Many wives are provoked to bitterness during the first year and never get over it. All this could so easily be avoided with simple instruction. It was with good reason God said let the aged women teach the younger. Trial and error is not the best teacher when it comes to marriage. It is much less painful to learn beforehand what God has to say about your role as a help meet to that special man God will bring into your life. It is the older women who have experienced the joys of a good marriage whom God has appointed to pass along his instructions. That is what I have done in this new book Preparing To Be A Help Meet.
Preparing To Be A Help Meet contains six sweet love stories written by wives sharing their experiences about how God taught them to be the help meets they are today. Three of the stories are from wives that have been married over 40 years. Three stories are by new brides who, before marriage, were trained to be the help meet God intended. All the love stories are beautiful, and will show you how wonderful it is to walk together in Gods light.
In addition to the six personal testimonies, this book is full of short stories from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Funny tales, ideas of how to gain a good mans attention, and even a tragic testimony all teach important lessons. You will meet Grabbers and Hidden Flowers, and discover how to avoid being either. The chapter on Antsy Babes will remind you why patience is so important. You will be warned as you read stories of how texting, emailing and other forms of cyberspace have destroyed many budding relationships and even marriages.
An important part of this book is instruction on preparing for your future by saving money, developing skills, gathering information on cooking, health, and many other topics. Girls will see how one wise young woman planned her wedding Gods way. Along the way the reader will learn what to pack in her Heavenly Hope Chest.
